Top 10 Future ATVs and UTVs

Our Wish List

Unfortunately, none of us will ever have the ability to know what the future holds. Undoubtedly, the ATV/UTV industry will evolve and bring us many new, innovative products in years to come. In other situations, the future would be just as bright with a little blast into the past to resurrect some amazing machines in a off-road, Jurassic Park sort of way. In any case, we've compiled a wish list for our readers to drool over and hopefully some of the manufacturers to ponder as future models. Keep your fingers crossed, rub a genie, throw some salt over your shoulder, or do whatever else brings us all luck and let's see where this takes us!

KTM UTV

KTM UTV: Lets be honest...KTM has been teasing us for a few years about bringing a four-wheeled KTM UTV to the market. They've got an amazing pipeline of engine choices and the manufacturing capability and technology to build something completely innovative the could redefine the market. Better yet.....let Ryan Dungey debut it at a Monster Energy Supercross event and blow all our minds next winter!ATV Rider

Can Am Renegade Turbo

Can Am Renegade Turbo: Can Am seems really comfortable pushing the envelope. When they introduced the Renegade years ago, it helped elevate sport/utility ATV's to a whole new level. Last year, Can Am took us all off guard and hit us with the news of a Maverick Turbo. We've got a special request this year. How about a new Renegade Turbo in the near future? While you're at it, throw some really cool piece of tech at it like a factory GPS option and really blow our minds!ATV Rider

Honda TRX450R EFI

Honda TRX450R EFI: This machine would be easy to produce and is well deserving of a proper update. Honda has already incorporated EFI capability into their CRF450 dirt bikes, so the carryover to the ATV side is simple. EFI and a few smaller evolutionary changes would definitely breath some much-needed life into the legendary TRX450R.ATV Rider

Honda Rincon 750

Honda Rincon 750: The Rincon is ancient and hasn't been updated in almost a decade. Even with that said, the Rincon is still one of the favorite utility ATV's the guys here at ATVRider discuss in our obligatory gossip sessions. Honda, give us a new Rincon and bump the displacement a little further north of 680cc. While you're at it, work in a transmission with more than three gears...and since we're being picky, make it five or six. Give us just a little more suspension travel and a rear hitch and you'll make a great deal of Red Riders happy!ATV Rider

Yamaha Raptor 250F

Yamaha Raptor 250F: Utilizing a smaller modified YFZ450 chassis and the killer 250cc EFI powerplant lifted from the YZF dirt bike line, a Raptor 250F would fill a HUGE void in every single ATV manufacturers lineup. This bike would be light, tight, and right!ATV Rider

Suzuki LT-R450 Return

Suzuki LT-R450 Return: Suzuki, if you're listening, PLEASE give us back the LT-R450! To make it even easier, you can give it to us exactly the way it was taken away. The LTR is not only one of the best machines Suzuki ever built, its one of the best any manufacturer ever produced.ATV Rider

Yamaha Grizzly 850XC

Yamaha Grizzly 850XC: The Grizzly has long been one of our favorite Sport Utility ATV's. It's very agile, super reliable, and responds well to modifications. Therefore, bumping the displacement and giving is some long-travel suspension would be all it really takes to elevate the Grizzly to the next level. In doing so, it would find itself in a class of its own.ATV Rider

KTM XC 2-stroke

KTM XC 2-stroke: KTM owns the two-stroke off-road dirt bike market. WIth their vast two-stroke technology and the killer XC ATV chassis, imagine how ridiculously cool, fast, and agile a modern factory two-stroke power-valve ATV would be!ATV Rider

Suzuki Samurai

Suzuki Samurai: Suzuki is the only major player yet to dive into the UTV market. Worse yet, their whole U.S. auto market went belly-up a year or two ago. We've got a great marketing plan for Suzuki that will help them take advantage of their incredible manufacturing facility in Georgia. How about a UTV that utilizes the King Quad 750 engine and drivetrain that they dub the Suzuki Samurai?ATV Rider

Yamaha Banshee Return

Yamaha Banshee Return: Give us back the Banshee! Yamaha dealerships would have Banshees flying out the front door with just some minor evolutionary enhancements. With the modern two-stroke oils now available and EFI, getting the two-smoker to pass emissions would be easier than ever.ATV Rider
