2019 Can Am Outlander DPS Models

All three DPS 1000r/850/650 models feature over a dozen new improvements over previous model years. All three models use fuel-injected Rotax V-twins. The 1000r cranks out 91hp, the 850 churns 78hp, while the 650 delivers 62hp.

All three big-bore DPS models also get the new Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTi) rear suspension with 9.9-inch of travel, new arched dual a-arm front suspension with 9.2-inch of travel, and the new selectable riding mode intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) with standard, work, and sport modes. A Visco-Lok QE (quick engaging) front differential lock is standard on all three models as well. A brand new 14-inch cast aluminum wheel wrapped with 26-inch ITP TerraCross tires and triple 214mm twin caliper disc brakes make it onto theses models as well.

Outlander DPS 570/450 models don’t receive all of the enhancements of the big-bore models. But, they still have Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS), and a Visko-Lok QE front differential. Both machines feature Rotax powerplants, with the 570 being a twin cylinder and the 450 a single cylinder. MAX DPS 650 models incorporate all of the new suspension and performance features mentioned above, but also include enhancements to allow a second passenger to ride safely. An 8-inch longer wheelbase provides the stability and room to add Can Am’s Dynamic Passenger Comfort (DPC) ergonomics to MAX models. MAX models also incorporate passenger handholds, a passenger footrest, and a Convertible Rack System (CRS) that turns the rear seat into a rack, and vice versa.

MAX DPS 570 and 450 models mirror the standard one-passenger models, but also incorporate the handholds, footrests, and Convertible Rack System (CRS) synonymous with the MAX models.
