Every year thousands of people from all around the world take over downtown Indianapolis, IN like mid-winter blizzard for the Indianapolis Dealer Expo. This year the weather is unusually warm, if you call the low 50's warm, but the products were hotter than ever as we walked around the convention center floor to see what hot new products vendors had to release for 2011. By day the dealers work their magic on vendors to give them the best price for the products, which also makes this event the premier time to release their latest and greatest. Only open to industry insiders and dealers, the only time you'll see any of the products here is when they hit the showroom floor of your local dealer or when you read about them on our website as we bring them to you at the end of the day.
When the day is done we'll also explore the happenings of the city and nightlife that this event has to give you even more entertainment. For now take a look at what caught our eyes on day one of the show. Enjoy
Gorilla Axle unveiled their new bumper for the Can-Am Renegade line of ATVs. Not only does this bumper provide stylish front end protection, but it also provides a mount for a 3000-pound winch and is available with or without a radiator relocation kit for the mud riding community.
At last years dealer expo, Blingstar showed up with and knocked the industry off its feet with their new line of billet rotor and sprocket guards in addition to their line of high quality trailer/garage cabinets and accessories. This year they're back to keep the momentum rolling with their new accessories for the popular Can-Am Commander SxS. Whether you like the popular suicide style door or a reverse Lamborghini style lifting door, Blingstar has your desires covered. They are also offering a stylish roof/roof rack that simply clamps on to your existing roll cage with billet mounts and to finish off this style is a lockable fiberglass bed cover. One other thing that they're considering is getting into the long travel SxS suspension market. The kit that they have on this machine has been designed with 17-inches of wheel travel and appears to be stout enough to take on the toughest desert race in the world, the Baja 1000. Look for more on this in the future.
SSV Audio is on hand showing off their line of two-wire waterproof stereo systems that are available for most popular SxS machines.
Walking around this show, you never know who you might bump into. In our case it was Carey Hart on his way back to the Bel-Ray booth where he was signing autographs, but stopped for us to take a quick picture.
While it's no ATV, Nitrous Express displayed a trick RC truck that was equipped with a nitrous system.
The Baja Designs booth had a cool little display that showed how the Ace Well digital gauge systems were completely waterproof, but also proved that live goldfish could survive being transported from California to Indy.
GoPro has already been taking the helmet camera world by storm, but took it even further with their 3D helmet cam setup. With 2 Hero HD cameras and their new housing and sync cables, you can make your own awesome 3D home videos.
The trick machine of the day has to go to the ATV Extreme Dirt Track Championship Series with this awesome TT inspired Kawasaki Teryx.
