Wanted: More OHV Presenters At The International Trails Symposium

American Trails has put out a “Call For Presentations” for its 21st International Trails Symposium. This biennial event, scheduled for April 14-17, 2013, is a gathering of trail enthusiasts and professionals representing all types of trail users.

The 2013 Symposium theme is “Trails Lead Everywhere,” celebrating the remarkable role that trails continue to play worldwide. It will include educational sessions covering a broad range of trail issues, nationally and internationally prominent speakers, a state-of-the-art exhibit hall, interactive mobile workshops, and more.

Presenters representing the motorized community are usually in the minority at this symposium, but this event presents an opportunity to help alter general opinions about the OHV community among our counterparts in non-motorized recreation. “NOHVCC encourages the motorized community to attend the symposium and make a presentation if possible,” said Russ Ehnes, NOHVCC Executive Director. “The better we present who we truly are with this group, the better chance we have of creating an improved image with the general public.”

American Trails is a national, nonprofit organization working on behalf of all trail interests, including trail motorcycling, ATVs, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. American Trails members work to create and protect America's network of interconnected trails, and support local, regional, and long-distance trails and greenways, whether they are in backcountry, rural or urban areas.
