Pro Quad Stadium Series - Found 3: San Diego

San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium played host to round three of the indoor ProQuad Stadium Series tonight, once again battling before a capacity crowd ona Qualcomm Stadium track closely resembling an outdoor motocross track withlarge triples, doubles and challenging rhythm (whoops) section.

Defending series champion and Team Honda factory ace Tim Farr started offhis night by reeling off the fastest qualifying time on his Honda TRX450R.Honda TRX450R-mounted John Natalie, Keith Little and Jeremiah Jones won theremaining heats, narrowing the field to 20 riders and two heat races.

Farr's qualifier flyer earned him the inside starting position for thefirst heat race alongside Jones and Ellis, and he made the most of it,rocketing off the line into the first corner and never looking back whileleading every lap of the race. The second heat saw Natalie and Gust swapthe lead several times before Natalie gained control and took the win,setting up what promised to be a Honda TRX450R barnburner in the mainevent.

Farr and Natalie did not disappoint the fans, trading plastic into thefirst corner with Natalie winning the holeshot battle while Farr slippedbehind Jones momentarily. Farr quickly got by Little and back into secondand immediately started making up time on Natalie. Both riders ran ablistering pace, putting a sizable distance between themselves and the restof the field, and at the checkers it was Natalie who claimed the win, withFarr in a close second. Little, Gust, and Ellis rounded out the top fivefrom there.
