Riding a sport quad on the track or in the woods means you will eventually need some kind of maintenance. Finding information on oil types or air filter recommendations is not difficult. Most are listed in the back of your owner's manual. Most manufacturers suggest using the factory replacement parts that they have tested and deemed worthy of their performance vehicles. However most of you will decide that you are going to give an aftermarket brand a try, and that's okay as well. For the sport or race market style ATVs you need to formulate a plan of action for when you will perform these tasks and how often. For the Yamaha YFZ450R, here is a list of manufacturer's suggested intervals.
