We Formula 1 fans are in our second least favorite time of the year right now: summer break. With a long gap in the calendar between races, there’s not much excitement to report on the F1 front other than the swirling of driver lineup change rumors. It seems like some of the drivers feel the same, and Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are getting their kicks by riding ATVs in their downtime.

The ex-teammates both posted images on their respective Instagrams of them riding quads while on their summer breaks. Mercedes driver Sir Lewis Hamilton is down in Namibia, and Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas is out in Wyoming. Incidentally, both seem to be exploring the respective countryside on four-wheelers. We do wonder if they get any dash of excitement and/or adrenaline from riding an ATV, or if it’s purely recreational. Either way, it’s fun to see two of the world’s best drivers enjoying time on ATVs. We certainly wouldn’t be able to beat them around a track in anything with a steering wheel, but we think we could show them a few pointers when it comes to quadding. The offer’s there, Lewis and Valtteri.
