Graft EV 4WD All-Electric ATV

Ultralow maintenance married to serious power and nimble ergonomics.

Graft EV is a small powersports startup in Taiwan managed by a handful of enthusiasts. The main brain behind the company has a résumé that includes Tesla and NASA. The company’s story page says, “The entire Graft range is handcrafted by a small team of engineers and riders who pour their attention to detail and passion for driving into each and every build.” While working prototype information is hard to find, their website and social media pages are filled with highly detailed concept renderings of what the planned vehicles should look like.

Graft’s plans include a fully equipped electric sport ATV dubbed the QD.41. It uses four independent electric motors, with one situated in each wheel. This means true four-wheel drive and traction control is delivered as the onboard computer calls for it. The quad will weigh in a hair below 250 pounds, which is very light. The Graft website claims it will put out an insane 323 pound-feet of torque. That’s a ton of instant electric motor power for such a lightweight ATV.

Diving into the details we can see that Graft plans on ultrapremium suspension at all four corners. Renderings appear to show full compression and rebound damping control and overflow reservoirs. A high-quality 4130 TIG-welded chromoly frame keeps things lightweight and strong. A lovely touchscreen is said to be in the works to help monitor the vehicle’s onboard systems and dual batteries. Every electronic component is rated at IP67 for full water submersion up to 30 minutes. And, to top it all off, there are only two moving parts outside of bushings and bearings. The Graft EV ATV will be an ultranimble, fast, and near-zero-maintenance quad. We can’t wait to see it enter the US market.
