Video: Brycen Neal Strikes Back

The 2022 GNCC XC1 pro championship remains up for grabs.

Hunter Hart (2) claims the holeshot with Brycen Neal (241) and Walker Fowler (1) hot on Hart’s rear grab bar.Ken Hill

If anything was unusual about Burr Oak, Round 11 of the 2022 GNCC ATV racing series held in Millfield, Ohio, it was Brycen Neal’s start on the No. 241 Yamaha YFZ450R—it was a good one. He didn’t get the holeshot, but he was right on the heels of front-runner Hunter Hart. Neal typically comes through the first turn mid-pack and fights his way to the front, but this being Neal’s home track, he looked determined to do whatever it took to retain the 2022 championship point lead. Walker Fowler won the last two rounds, closing the gap on Neal to just two points. With this and just two more rounds left in the series, both Neal and Fowler needed this win.

Neal would get around Hart soon enough, leaving Fowler to battle back and forth with Hart right up until the checkered flag came out. Fowler pulled off a second place finish 14 seconds later, with Hart taking the third spot.
